On Wednesday, Nov. 16, just before midnight, officers responded for a report of a fight at Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill located at 105 Chesapeake Center Court in, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a physical altercation had occurred inside the bar between two patrons that resulted in a shooting.
During the altercation, one of the suspects, identified as the shooting victim, wielded a folding knife and held it by his side before a witness separated the two and allowed the shooting suspect to exit the bar.
The shooting suspect then returned to the bar with a black handgun and re-entered the bar as the witness escorted the knife-wielding man to his car.
The shooting suspect then exited the bar and continued to argue with the knife-wielding man, eventually firing several rounds at the victim. When officers arrived, both the shooting victim as well as the shooter were no longer at the bar.
The victim was later located at a nearby hospital for treatment of his wounds.
